Why Lemon Water Matters

Did you realize that coffee isn't the first thing you should drink in the morning for optimal health? {GASP!} That's right, even all of us southern coffee drinking morning people should add in a step before that morning cup of Community Coffee....warm lemon water.

Have you ever thought about the fact that you have been asleep for several hours (hopefully 6-8) without giving your body water? We realize that we are supposed to drink water during the day to stay nourished but what about not putting water in our bodies while asleep? Once you wake up in the morning it has been several hours since your system received any type of hydration. Grabbing a cup of coffee first thing in the morning is actually pulling more hydration out of your body. It is like trying to get that last drop of toothpaste out of the tube when it just can't give you the amount you need....our tissues are dehydrated and in desperate need of fluid to push out toxins; supply your body with more than just the water from yesterday!

Although I did not have any fresh lemons to squeeze into my warm water this morning, I DID add 6 drops of Young Living's Lemon Vitality Oil into my stainless steel cup. Did you know that the most potent properties of a lemon are actually in the peel?
